SpaceX abbreviated as Space exploration technologies corp; is an American based manufacturer of aerospace components and space transportation Services Company founded by Elon Musk. The main aim of the company is to reduce the cost of space transportation and pave way for Mars colonization. The futuristic company works hard not to reach the sky but to reach beyond the sky. With the recent successful launch of Falcon 9, an advanced GPS satellite for the US space force along with NASA, let’s look at a few fascinating facts about the futuristic company.
- The Founder and CEO of SpaceX was the co-founder of the digital payment gateway PayPal which he cashed out and started SpaceX
- Elon Musk is also the CEO of Tesla Motors, the electric car company
- The self-built entrepreneur has gained fame as real-life Tony Stark among his admirers
- A part of the live-action film Iron Man 2 was shot in the SpaceX factory in which the founder Elon Musk appeared in a guest role
- SpaceX is the first private company to send spacecraft to orbit the globe and has also sent a Dragon capsule that orbited the earth twice.
- The Falcon 9 soared into space with two NASA astronauts first time in a private mission

How is SpaceX Different?
Here is a question around in human mind that is Spacex a good thing? Do not worry about it just know about SpaceX, which is a private company based in Hawthorne, California that specializes in space flight applications and technologies.
It was founded by Elon Musk with an aim to lower space travel costs so that the first manned mission to Mars could be funded by private citizens. At present it is the only company that has successfully completed a series of test flights to demonstrate the use of an inflatable launch adapter attached to a solid structure of the Space Shuttle. The space shuttle was later reused to complete missions to several space stations.
SpaceX has designed, built and successfully launched its reusable launch system called the Falcon 9 which is made up of multiple solid rocket boosters. The company is also attempting to develop and manufacture a system called the Manned Mars Vehicle (MMV) to put humans on the surface of Mars as early as 2020.
Although it appears that SpaceX is proceeding successfully towards its goal of putting astronauts into space, it appears that private space flight will not be an easy task. In fact any failure would be a very big problem for the US space agency (USCA). If the company is unable to accomplish its goal in the near future then they will not be meeting their overall space flight objectives.
If his investment is confirmed then he will become the largest individual shareholder of a company that has so far only achieved one successful launch. This means that SpaceX is dependent on Mr. Musk to make any progress toward developing a better means of putting astronauts in space. He is responsible for the company’s innovative positions on both the science and technology sides.
His leadership is crucial to the company as it is not a very experienced hand when it comes to designing and building the various components needed for human spaceflight. Mr. Musk is a brilliant innovator, but he does not have a background in aerospace engineering. His only education is in computer science and he hails from a family of computer engineers.
There is no question that this has impacted his management style and the way he leads SpaceX. Many of the decisions SpaceX takes are based upon his decisions concerning what type of technology to use, which type of vehicle to use, and how to develop those technologies into a reliable means of space travel.
How Does Spacex Make Money?
SpaceX Crew Dragon Facts – Dragon is one of the primary technologies being used to develop a more robust and reliable means of transporting cargo to space. It will play a large part in the development of the ultimate passenger vehicle. It is not known if NASA will allow passengers on a Dragon capsule for a permanent crewed mission to the moon or Mars in 2020.
If they do then astronauts would use a Dragon capsule as an interim mission as they completed their primary mission to the international space station. As it was previously stated Dragon will be used for carrying out crewed cargo missions to the space station and potentially the moon.
Although NASA has not committed to the use of Dragon capsule for a crewed mission to Mars, it is estimated that it could well happen within the next decade. The other company that is currently developing and researching ways to colonize mars is Mastenet.
They too plan to use a type of reusable launch vehicle to transport astronauts to the surface of Mars. In addition to using capsules and spaceships to transport astronauts to the surface of Mars, Mastenet also proposes to use a lunar lander and an inflatable module to support the lunar habitat.
In fact, they currently have an inflatable module that is three feet in diameter with a base diameter of eight feet and is capable of holding up to two hundred and eighty pounds of weight. Hope so you will enjoy the facts about SpaceX.
These are some interesting facts about the revolutionary company among the long list that it has built and it is continuously adding to.
